Even after a month since India’s Asia Cup 2025 win over Pakistan, the trophy and medals have not reached the BCCI office.
The issue began when captain Suryakumar Yadav refused to accept the trophy from Pakistan’s Home Minister and ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, citing political and security tensions.
BCCI joint secretary Devjit Saikia expressed strong dissatisfaction and warned that the issue will be raised at the ICC meeting on November 4 if the trophy isn’t delivered within a day or two.
Mohsin Naqvi allegedly insists on personally handing over the trophy to the Indian team, refusing to send it through other channels, which has worsened the standoff.
The BCCI expects the trophy to arrive in Mumbai soon, but is prepared to escalate the matter internationally if the delay continues.
With the ICC meeting nearing, all eyes are on whether the Asia Cup trophy will finally reach India - or trigger a new diplomatic flashpoint in cricket.
