Babar Azam equalled Virat Kohli’s record of 38 half-centuries in T20 internationals, becoming joint-highest.
Babar achieved this at age 31, taking 134 matches and 127 innings, slightly behind Kohli’s 125 matches and 117 innings.
He was recently dropped due to a slow strike rate, but made a strong comeback with a 74 off 52 balls against Zimbabwe.
With fifties from Babar and Farhan, Pakistan posted 195, then bowled Zimbabwe out for 126.
Usman Tariq delivered a sensational spell, taking a hat-trick and finishing with 4/18, crushing Zimbabwe’s chase.
With Rohit & Kohli retired from T20Is, Babar is expected to soon hold the most T20I fifties record alone.
