BCCI’s cash and bank reserves have surged from ₹6,059 crore in 2019 to ₹20,686 crore in 2024-25, a rise of ₹14,627 crore in just five years.
In the last financial year alone, BCCI earned ₹4,193 crore, making it by far the richest cricket board in the world.
The surplus income of ₹1,623 crore came mainly from IPL 2023 profits and distributions received from the ICC.
BCCI earned ₹986.45 crore from interest on bank deposits in 2023-24, nearly double the previous year’s ₹533 crore, due to high-return, low-risk investments.
Expenditure also grew to ₹1,623 crore, with major allocations like ₹1,200 crore for infrastructure, ₹350 crore for Platinum Jubilee Fund, and ₹500 crore for Cricket Development Fund.
Despite overall growth, international media rights revenue fell from ₹2,524 crore to ₹813 crore due to fewer international matches, though IPL earnings offset the dip.
