Big claim behind Bumrah's slower balls

Pakistan-born UAE fast bowler has claimed that the current sensation fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, had learnt an important trick from him when the IPL was played in the UAE.

"I taught him the slower deliveries"

Zahoor Khan has said that Bumrah had once asked about the slower deliveries technique. According to him, he explained how to bowl it with the same action and grip.

This moment happened all the way back in 2020-21, when Zahoor Khan was a net-bowler for the Mumbai Indians. This is when Bumrah showed curiosity to learn more about the slower deliveries technique.

During practice, Bumrah asked Zahoor, “Paaji, how do you bowl slower balls with the same action and grip?” Zahoor demonstrated in the nets, impressing Shane Bond and Mahela Jayawardene with his seamless delivery. After watching, Bumrah tried it himself and exclaimed, “This is next level!” Zahoor felt proud that even a star like Bumrah wanted to learn his trick.

Zahoor Khan also claimed that when he was showing his slow variation, Rohit came and sat and watched him bowl. Later on, even Rohit struggled to pick his variation as the ball came really slow, and he struggled to hit.
