ICC bans 4 star players; big action taken on Suryakumar Yadav & Bumrah

1. Haris Rauf

ICC found the Pakistan pacer guilty of misconduct in both India-Pakistan matches (Sept 14 & 28) and handed him four demerit points, resulting in a two-match suspension.

Rauf received two demerit points each for both incidents within a 24-month period, triggering the automatic two-match ban. He will miss Pakistan’s upcoming ODI series vs South Africa.

2. Suryakumar Yadav fined 30% of match fee

The Indian batter was found guilty of breaching Article 2.21 of the ICC Code of Conduct (unfair play/unsporting behavior) in the Sept 14 match and also received two demerit points.

3. Jasprit Bumrah warned and fined

Bumrah was charged under the same clause during the final on Sept 28. He received one demerit point and an official warning after accepting the charge without a hearing.

4. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan also penalized

Farhan was fined under the same article (2.21) as Suryakumar for his role in the September 14 altercation.

Arshdeep Singh cleared of charges

The Indian pacer was investigated under Section 2.6 (offensive gestures) after the Super 4 clash (Sept 21), but the ICC found him not guilty, so no penalty was imposed.
