Although the Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, left Delhi on October 15, they reached Perth late at night on October 16, appearing tired and exhausted.
The main reason for the delay was a four-hour delay in the flight from Delhi, which disrupted the team’s entire travel schedule.
Due to the delay, connecting flights and transit schedules in Singapore had to be changed, further pushing back the team’s arrival time in Australia.
The team checked into their Perth hotel at around 4 AM (local time), much later than expected, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul among the first batch to arrive.
A video shared by BCCI showing Rohit, Kohli, and Gill’s reunion in Perth quickly went viral, with fans reacting to their camaraderie and the new leadership dynamic.
India will face Mitchell Marsh-led Australia in a 3-match ODI and 5-match T20I series, starting from October 19 in Perth, followed by Adelaide (Oct 23) and Sydney (Oct 25).
