Kohli said such behaviour is unfair to the player who has just been dismissed.
He compared the moment to similar scenes involving MS Dhoni during IPL matches.
Kohli made the remarks while accepting the Man of the Match award for his 93-run knock.
Despite the incident, Kohli said he remained focused on his responsibility to the team.
