India and Pakistan clashed in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 tournament on September 14th, with Team India winning. However, Pakistan is furious over the Indian players not shaking hands.
PCB demanded the sacking of match referee Andy Pycroft and even threatened to withdraw from the Asia Cup, but ICC rejected the demand.
India comfortably defeated Pakistan in their earlier meeting and are favorites to top Group A in the preliminary round.
To qualify for the Super Four, Pakistan must defeat UAE and finish as Group A’s second team (A2).
If Pakistan qualifies, India and Pakistan will face each other again in the Super Four on September 21, 2025.
If both teams continue winning in the Super Four stage, India and Pakistan could meet again in the final on September 28, 2025.
