India’s next ODI match after New Zealand series

After New Zealand series, India will not play another ODI for approximately five months. The schedule shifts entirely to T20Is (vs. New Zealand and the T20 World Cup) and the IPL until June.

India is tentatively scheduled to host Afghanistan in June 2026 for a 3-match ODI series. While the exact dates and venues are yet to be finalized, this will likely be the first 50-over action after the IPL.

India tour of England

The next fully confirmed ODI matches are in July 2026 during the tour of England. These will take place at Edgbaston (July 14), Cardiff (July 16), and Lord's (July 19).

Senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who currently only play the ODI format, are expected to return to the squad during the June/July window after a long break from international cricket.

In the second half of the year, India will host two back-to-back ODI series—3 matches against West Indies in September and 3 matches against Sri Lanka in December.

The year concludes with a return tour to New Zealand in October–November 2026, which includes 3 ODIs alongside Test and T20I matches.
