Big change coming in India's playing XI? Aakash Chopra breaks silence

Cricket

Before the 2nd T20I against England, Aakash Chopra shared his preferred India XI and thoughts on possible team changes.

A Final chance maybe?

Aakash Chopra thinks the debate about Sanju Samson’s spot is settled for now and expects the team to give him another chance.

What did he mean?

Chopra said Sanju does well at home but struggles away. Apart from two overseas centuries, his numbers aren’t great. Still, since he’s played recent games, Chopra thinks he should get one more chance.

Going with the same pair?

Chopra said Vaibhav won’t get five straight games now, so be fair to the others. He suggested Abhishek Sharma should open with Sanju, and Ishan Kishan should bat at No. 3.

He also said

Chopra said the captain should stay at No. 4, Tilak Varma at No. 5, Shivam Dube at No. 6, Axar Patel at No. 7, and Harshit Rana at No. 8. He added that Arshdeep Singh and more spinners should also play.

He concluded

Chopra said the team should stay the same unless the pitch helps fast bowlers, in which case they might swap a spinner for a pacer.

Aakash Chopra’s prediction has made fans curious to see if India will stick to the same strategy or make a surprise change.
