Shubman Gill snub sparks outrage? Former player slams BCCI's decision

Shubman Gill is scoring heavily in ODIs, but his absence from India’s T20I plans has sparked a new debate.

Many fans and experts are questioning why one of India’s most consistent batters is still not part of the T20 team.

Former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin has openly questioned the decision, saying Gill’s current form should earn him a spot in every format.

He said

“Gill is doing a great job as captain, and his performance has improved a lot. He’s one of the best players, so I don’t understand why he’s not picked for T20S,” Azharuddin told PTI in an interview on Wednesday.

He further added

“He’s a strong player in all formats and should never have been left out of any of them,” he added.

Azharuddin on Auqib Nabi's exclusion

“Auqib Nabi is a top red-ball and swing bowler. Despite taking plenty of wickets in the last two Ranji seasons, he still isn’t in the Test team. It’s very disappointing,” Azhar said.

The debate is growing. Can Gill make a comeback to India’s T20 team, or has the team moved on?
