The All India Men’s Senior Selection Committee has announced India’s 15-member squad for the Asia Cup 2025. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side.
Shubman Gill has been named vice-captain. He is also set to open the innings for India in the tournament.
Jasprit Bumrah’s inclusion came as a surprise. The ace pacer was expected to be rested but will feature in the Asia Cup.
Abhishek Sharma joins Gill as opener. Tilak Varma is likely to bat at No. 3 with Jitesh Sharma in the middle order.
India’s spin unit includes Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. They will handle the middle overs.
Bumrah will lead the pace attack. He will be supported by Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Hardik Pandya.
