India’s squad for the Zimbabwe T20I series has sparked debate after a World Cup legend questioned some major selection choices.
Former opener Kris Srikkanth wasn’t happy with some selections and shared strong opinions about the team combination.
Srikkanth questioned Yash Thakur’s selection and boldly said the pacer “doesn’t know how to bowl at all.”
Srikkanth questioned leaving out Bhuvneshwar, Patidar, and Krunal, and called Yash Thakur an ordinary bowler. He supported Mayank Yadav’s selection but was unsure about Suryansh Shedge’s place.
Srikkanth said Bhuvneshwar, Krunal, and Patidar deserve a fair chance and questioned why selectors keep backing Tilak Varma over them.
Srikkanth said he’s unsure why Rinku Singh was picked again, but praised Prabhsimran Singh for earning his spot and agreed with Prince Yadav’s selection after his strong IPL performance.
The main question is whether India’s new picks will prove the selectors right or if doubts will increase.
