5. Liam Livingstone

Against Gujarat Titans, the 28-year-old cricketer put on an even better display, scoring 64 runs off just 27 balls, which included four maximums and seven boundaries. IPL is a long tournament, and we are just in the initial stages, hence it remains to be seen if Liam Livingstone can turn out to be a consistent performer for Punjab Kings and lead them to their maiden IPL title.

4. Rahul Chahar

After having a few good seasons with Mumbai Indians, Rahul Chahar had an uneventful outing in 2021. Although he picked up 13 wickets last season, he didn’t have much of an impact as he failed to pick wickets during important moments in the game. Moreover, Chahar was even dropped from the playing XI to accommodate Jayant Yadav towards the end of the 2021 season.

3. Dinesh Karthik

If there is one name that has stood out in the first two weeks of IPL 2022, then it has to be “Dinesh Karthik”. The veteran Indian wicketkeeper batter can do no wrong at the moment, scoring 97 runs in four outings, at a strike rate of 210.86. Surprisingly, Karthik is yet to be dismissed in the tournament so far and has simply been in sublime touch.

2. Khaleel Ahmed

The Delhi Capitals pacer is among the front runners to claim the Purple Cap, having seven scalps to his name in just three outings at an average of 12.29. In the last fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders, he picked up three wickets in his four-over spell, which included crucial wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Sam Billings, and Venkatesh Iyer.

1. Shimron Hetymer

The left-handed batter managed to score just 242 runs in 14 innings at Delhi Capitals last time around. In 2020, he scored 185 runs at an average of just 23.12. The West Indian made his IPL debut with Royal Challengers Bangalore back in 2019, where he played just five games, scoring 90 runs. Given his past struggles in IPL, this season has been a massive upgrade so far.
