Finch was a part of RCB during the 2020 season. During his time with RCB, he got ample amount of chances to prove himself. He was left unsold in the 2021 as well as in the 2022 mega auction. However, Finch came in as a replacement for Alex Hales. Decent performances for KKR this season have somehow shown that he has made a comeback.
Ahead of the 2019 season, he was retained by CSK but he pulled out of the T20 league due to personal commitments. During 2022 auction, he was unsold as no team wanted to have a pinch hitter and a swing bowler on their side. But, this year, RCB has included him in the side. Willey has made it to the IPL circuit after a gap of nearly three years.
During the 2018 season, he was picked by Mumbai Indians wherein, he bowled for two overs and conceded 19 runs. Later on, he was dropped. For three consecutive seasons, he went unsold. However, Gujarat Titans management decided to pick him up for the 2022 season.
He was picked by KKR during the 2017 IPL auction, but he was benched for the whole season. This time around, he has played two games for Punjab so far. It will be interesting to see if PBKS management decides to give him more chances to showcase his talents.

During the 2022 mega auction, he was picked by the five-time champions and has been a part of a bowling unit which is headed by Jasprit Bumrah.
