5. Umran Malik

Another overpriced entity on the retention list of Sunrisers Hyderabad is Umran Malik. He is also a Kashmiri player to be retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad after Abdul Samad. The novice player has been retained for a whopping INR 4 crores and has just played three IPL matches.

4. Mohammed Siraj

The pacer debuted for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017 and was signed by Bangalore later. He was an expensive bowler and didn’t take many wickets at first. His economy improved year by year and it went from 9.55 in 2019 to 6.78 in 2021. 

3. Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad is an interesting prospect from the territory of Kashmir, and has become a talking point after his retention by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 20-year-old middle-order batter can also bowl some leg spin. Samad has been playing the league for two years.

2. Axar Patel

After an average season in 2018, he was traded to Delhi Capitals for the 12th edition. This southpaw has been a part of Delhi Capital’s side for three years. The 31-year-old player has played 109 IPL matches and has taken 95 wickets and scored 953 runs with a career strike rate of 125.22

1. Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal, the opening batter of Punjab Kings, has been retained as the first player for an amount of INR 14 crores. He has been playing the IPL since 2011. w, and was signed by Punjab Kings in 2018 for a salary of 1 crore.
