He has picked up a total of 45 wickets from 52 IPL matches. IPL 2022 has been the best season for him in terms of wickets taken. In the 15th edition of the IPL, Southee has picked up 14 wickets from 9 matches, at an impressive economy rate of 7.86. He is the third-highest wicket-taker for KKR this season.

10. Umesh Yadav (34)

He has performed exceedingly well this season, especially in the powerplay overs. He is the second-highest wicket-taker for KKR this season with 16 scalps from 12 matches. His economy of 7.06 is one of the best this season.

9. Dwayne Bravo (38)

He is currently the leading wicket-taker in IPL history with 183 wickets from 161 matches at an economy of 8.38. He has also contributed well with the bat scoring a total of over 1500 runs in IPL history.

8. Ravichandran Ashwin (35)

Ravi Ashwin has played some valuable knocks with the bat this season for RR. So far he has scored 185 runs including one half-century and has picked up 11 wickets with the ball at an economy rate of 7.33.

7. MS Dhoni (c & wk) (40)

The biggest superstar of the tournament has had a pretty decent season with the bat as he scored 232 runs with an average of 33.14, he also scored an unbeaten half-century in the very first match of IPL 2022. His fans all over the world got to witness some of ‘Vintage Mahi’ finishing knocks this season.

6. Dinesh Karthik (36)

Karthik was released by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2022 auctions. RCB was quick enough to buy him at INR 5.5 cr during the mega auctions. IPL 2022 has been a dream season for this seasoned wicketkeeper batter, as he has scored 287 runs in 14 matches with an impressive average of 57.40 and an astonishing strike rate of 191.33.

5. Ambati Rayudu (36)

In this edition of the IPL, Rayudu has garnered 274 runs in 13 innings, with an average of 24.91 and a strike rate of 122.32. His highest score of this season was 78 from 39 balls against Punjab Kings, albeit in a losing cause.

4. Robin Uthappa (36)

Uthappa was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings for INR 2 cr during the IPL 2022 mega auctions. He played an important role in CSK’s IPL 2021 victory. His ability to strike the ball and send it out of the park with ease is what makes him so special. He also can bat at any position and control the innings with his responsible batting display.

3. Faf du Plessis (37)

A shining star of modern-day cricket, Faf du Plessis is an iconic figure. The South African batter was picked up by RCB and was also selected as the skipper for this season after Virat Kohli decided to step down from the role last season. With 443 runs in 14 matches, du Plessis finds himself at the 7th position in the list of the leading run-scorers this season. He has been very calculative with his on-field decisions as well.

2. David Warner (35)

IPL 2022 has been a bounce-back season for David Warner as he scored a total of 432 runs in 12 matches with an impressive average of 48, and a strike rate of 150.52. Apart from being one of the most explosive batters ever, Warner continues to be one of the quickest and the most dedicated fielders as well, adding more feathers to his cap as an ‘old’ player.

1. Wriddhiman Saha (37)

Playing for Gujarat Titans in their maiden season, Saha has accumulated 312 runs in 10 matches, with an average of 34.67 and a strike rate of 123.80. Saha has been promoted up the order as an opener this season, and he has proved his mettle in almost every game that he has played for the Gujarat Titans. His excellent skills behind the stumps as well are a plus for any side that he plays for.
