BCCI introduces strict new rules this season. Everything from practice sessions to jerseys is now regulated, and teams must stick to tighter guidelines or risk penalties.
A major surprise for teams: players are now barred from training or even doing light practice on match days, forcing teams to finalise all preparations the day before the match.
Training is now tightly regulated: teams get just 2 practice nets and 1 side wicket for range hitting, with sessions capped at around 3.5 hours, even under lights.
Each team is assigned its own practice setup; no sharing of pitches or nets allowed. Even if another team finishes early, their area remains off-limits.
Entry is now tightly restricted: only accredited staff are allowed in the dressing rooms and on the field. Family, friends, and additional staff must remain outside or watch from the stands.
No sleeveless jerseys at presentations; players must wear caps for broadcasts. The main pitch is off-limits for pre-match practice and many more . Breaking these rules can result in warnings, fines, or stricter penalties.
