End of the road for Sanju Samson? Team India’s big selection call awaits

Cricket

Aakash Chopra has started a new debate by questioning India’s treatment of Sanju Samson in the T20I series against England.

Chopra believes India should stick with Samson since they already gave him a role, and dropping him now wouldn’t be right.

Patidar in the limelight?

Chopra said that with left-handers in the top three- Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan- where will you play Rajat Patidar?

He added that there’s no room to change the top three, with Ishan Kishan now India’s top T20I batter. He also said it already seems unfair to Sanju.

Patidar for Dube?

He said Shreyas Iyer is at No. 4, Tilak Varma at No. 5, and Shivam Dube at No. 6. If the captain and vice-captain won’t be moved, would you play Patidar instead of Dube?

Chopra said Patidar’s chance will come, and he will play for India again, but for now, there’s no spot for him unless someone else is dropped.

Will India keep backing Samson despite his recent struggles, or will a new player join their T20I plans soon?
