Former Scotland cricketer Jon Blain has been reinstated into the Hall of Fame. The decision comes nearly four years after he was suspended

In 2019, Blain was temporarily removed after being accused of using a racist slur by former teammates. The allegations led to a formal review by cricket authorities

After a lengthy investigation, Cricket Scotland informed Blain in January 2024 that the allegations were “unfounded.” This cleared the way for his return to the honour list

Following the review, the Hall of Fame Committee and Cricket Scotland Board unanimously voted to reinstate him. It marked a major turnaround in the case

Blain thanked those who supported him during the difficult period. He called playing for Scotland 118 times the greatest honour of his life

Blain represented Scotland from 1999 to 2008. He played 33 ODIs and six T20Is, taking a total of 47 international wickets
