Former IPL president Lalit Modi gave shocking advice to ICC Chairman Jay Shah

Lalit Modi suggested ICC that ODI cricket no longer attracts crowds and should be discontinued.

He advised Jay Shah to scrap ODI cricket, shift focus to Test (day-night format) and T20 cricket, and reduce the frequency of World Cups.

Modi recommended that Test cricket should start at 2 PM to attract more audiences and avoid empty stadiums.

According to him, fans no longer have the patience to sit in stadiums for 8 hours a day.

Modi advised the ICC to reduce World Cups and instead focus on including cricket in the Olympics.

To support his advice he highlighted how the IPL revolutionized cricket, made BCCI financially powerful, and changed the global cricketing landscape.
