Bengaluru will soon get a huge new cricket stadium, an 80,000-seater planned in Anekal on the city’s outskirts.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah will lay the foundation stone of the project on May 23. This new stadium could transform Bengaluru’s cricket scene.
This stadium will be India’s second largest, after the Narendra Modi Stadium, once finished.
The project will cost about ₹943 crore, with the first phase likely to be completed in three years.
After crowd issues at Chinnaswamy Stadium, officials want a bigger, safer stadium outside the city centre.
But some people are concerned about traffic, roads, and metro access near Anekal.
Could this be Bengaluru’s top sports landmark? Fans are excited for IPL nights and big matches at the new stadium.
