Mumbai Indians struggled with the ball against Rajasthan Royals, showing no control or breakthroughs as the match slipped away from their hands.
Aakash Chopra pointed out a worrying stat: MI’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has taken 0 wickets in the last 3 matches, a major concern.
Aakash Chopra highlighted that Jasprit Bumrah has bowled 11 overs in three matches without taking a single wicket, conceding 88 runs at an economy of 8.00. He noted Bumrah's economy is decent given he bowls tough overs, but even he got hit in the last match.
Chopra pointed out Mumbai’s big bowling problem: Deepak Chahar gave up 42 runs in four overs across two games (economy 10.5), Hardik Pandya’s economy is 11.2, Allah Ghazanfar’s is 12, and Trent Boult’s is also 12.
Chopra said Shardul Thakur’s economy is nearly 13 despite taking wickets. He added that MI must improve their bowling attack, as replacements won’t fix the problem.
Chopra said MI had no chance after giving up 150 runs in 11 overs and collapsing to 22/3, losing Rohit, Rickelton, and Suryakumar early.
Captain Hardik Pandya has a big challenge ahead. If MI don’t fix their bowling fast, their season could be over early.
