MS Dhoni will not feature in CSK’s upcoming match against Delhi Capitals, continuing his absence in IPL 2026 due to injury concerns.
Dhoni has been recovering from a calf strain he suffered before IPL 2026 and is yet to be declared fully fit for match action.
The veteran has not travelled with the CSK team to Delhi and is currently continuing his rehabilitation process in Chennai.
CSK have not confirmed a return date, only stating that Dhoni could be available at some stage later in the IPL 2026 season.
Dhoni has been training in nets, including batting and keeping, but is still not considered ready to take part in competitive matches.
Team management revealed Dhoni chose to stay away from matches to avoid distractions and let the team focus during games.
CSK remain hopeful of Dhoni’s comeback later in IPL 2026, but there is no clarity yet on when he will return to the playing XI.
