India’s loss in the 2nd T20I against England sparked new debate after a former cricketer pointed out a costly moment for the team.
Laxman Sivaramakrishnan criticised the spinner for bowling a no-ball, saying such mistakes can shift momentum and change the outcome of a close match.
Laxman Sivaramakrishnan criticised Ravi Bishnoi’s no-ball against England, calling it a “crime” for a spinner and stressing the need for discipline in bowling.
He said it’s a serious mistake for a spinner to bowl a no-ball, especially in today’s T20 cricket. Coaches should check the bowler’s alignment, and he added that Ravi Bishnoi isn’t a traditional leg-spinner.
He said coach Sairaj Bahutule should have checked Bishnoi’s alignment and suggested using cones to help bowlers avoid no-balls, since they can’t take wickets with illegal deliveries.
Sivaramakrishnan said Bishnoi should rest while he works on his action, as fixing these habits will take time. He suggested trying another bowler for now.
After his costly mistake, Bishnoi will aim to bounce back and perform better in the next matches.
