With the tournament just days away, uncertainty surrounds Pakistan’s participation in the marquee event
After Bangladesh officially pulled out of the T20 World Cup, all eyes turned to Pakistan, the only full ICC member to support Bangladesh’s security concerns
The ICC conducted independent security assessments and stated there was no credible threat in India. Bangladesh refused to confirm participation and were replaced by Scotland
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi revealed that Pakistan’s participation will be decided by the national government, adding that ICC may invite another team if Pakistan withdraws.
If Pakistan pull out, Uganda will be invited as per ICC rankings. They will join India, Namibia, USA, and Netherlands in Group A
Despite the boycott talk, PCB has already announced Pakistan’s 15-member squad. Will they play or will politics decide their fate?
