Hasan Ali had a brilliant T20 Blast campaign with Birmingham Bears. He picked 25 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 15.00. Expectations were high ahead of the Asia Cup 2025.
However, Hasan struggled in Pakistan’s last few T20Is and ODIs. He conceded 48, 38, and 47 runs in T20s and went wicketless in an ODI. His form will be key to Pakistan’s success in the tournament.
Salman Ali Agha became Pakistan’s T20 captain after Babar and Rizwan were dropped. Under his leadership, the team performed decently. But Agha’s individual performances have been underwhelming.
In the last 10 white-ball games, he bowled only four times. His batting included three single-digit scores and a golden duck vs Oman. He must improve to boost Pakistan’s campaign in Asia Cup 2025.
Saim Ayub is an explosive top-order batter for Pakistan in T20s. He has played blistering knocks in franchise leagues and for the national team. However, his recent form before Asia Cup 2025 has been poor.
Ayub’s highest scores recently were mostly 23, apart from a couple of 60s. He was dismissed for a golden duck against Oman. Regaining form will be vital for Pakistan’s top order in the tournament.
