The Pakistan Cricket Board has cancelled the No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) of all Pakistani players, barring them from participating in foreign T20 leagues.
Despite playing in global leagues, Pakistani players failed to deliver consistent performances in the Asia Cup 2025, especially against India.
Pakistan lost to India three times in the Asia Cup 2025, including the final, where Tilak Verma’s unbeaten 69 led India to victory.
The decision impacts big names like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Faheem Ashraf.
Players will now only be allowed to play in domestic T20 leagues within Pakistan.
PCB may soon review player performances, potentially resting underperforming seniors, bringing in youngsters, and even considering a change in the coaching staff.
