Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani shocked everyone by leaving PSL. He chose to play IPL 2026 instead, and the drama has just begun.
The Pakistan Cricket Board believes that the fast bowler has broken his PSL contract and now they want to take legal action against him.
Muzarabani had joined Islamabad United for 11 million PKR and was set to represent his side in the PSL set to begin on 26 March. But now he has joined Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement bowler for Mustafizur Rahman.
He felt that IPL might provide him with a better opportunity, and getting a chance in IPL, he wouldn't be someone to miss it out. This chance made him reportedly walk away from the PSL.
A similar situation occurred during the previous PSL season when South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who had been selected by Peshawar Zalmi as a Diamond Pick, later joined the Mumbai Indians in the IPL as an injury replacement.
Reports say PCB could take strict action for contract breach. A suspension from PSL or a legal case could follow. What will happen, only time will decide.
