Was Raghuvanshi's wicket unfair? Virendar Sehwag sparks debate

The shocking moment

Out for this? Young star Angkrish Raghuvanshi left stunned after a rare decision suddenly ended his innings.

What really happened?

He was looking for a single. Green said no, and while running back, he slightly changed his running line, and the ball hit him. After Rishabh Pant appealed, the umpire gave him out.

The rule that decided it

A batter can be given out for ‘obstructing the field’ if they purposely block or change their path to stop a run-out.

Sehwag didn't agree with the call

Sehwag said it’s normal for a batter to look at the fielder to see which end is safer. He thinks Raghuvanshi dived naturally and didn’t try to block the ball, so it shouldn’t be out.

He added

He said Raghuvanshi only looked at the fielder at first; after that, he just ran and jumped. He feels the out decision was a bit harsh.

The rule says any movement matters, but many think intent should decide if a batter is out.

Should the fielding team have taken back the appeal? Fans are split between following strict rules and playing in the spirit of cricket.
