RCB captain Rajat Patidar has reportedly suffered a muscle tear during the India A vs South Africa A match, putting his IPL 2026 participation in doubt.
As per reports, Patidar will be out of action for around four months. He’s likely to miss the Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Rajat had a memorable 2025 season, leading Madhya Pradesh to the SMAT final and guiding RCB to their first-ever IPL title.
Patidar scored 312 runs in 15 matches with two half-centuries last season. His leadership and batting were key to RCB’s title-winning campaign.
According to reports, Patidar faces a tight recovery window. His fitness will be closely monitored as IPL 2026 approaches.
RCB management is confident that Patidar will recover in time. Fans are also hopeful their title-winning captain will be back to lead again.
