Rishabh Pant has resumed batting in the nets ahead of IPL 2026, easing fitness concerns for Lucknow Super Giants.
Pant last played a competitive match on January 8 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy before suffering an injury during India’s ODI preparations.
He picked up a side strain at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara, which ruled him out of the New Zealand ODI series, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
After weeks of rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, Pant has now started batting again in the nets.
A video of Pant batting has surfaced on social media, signalling that his recovery is on track ahead of IPL 2026.
With Pant set to return only in the IPL, Lucknow Super Giants will be relieved as their captain and wicketkeeper moves closer to full match fitness.
