The BCCI announced a massive ₹125 crore prize money after Team India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph under Rohit Sharma.
The prize money covered players, reserve squad, coaching staff, medical team and selectors.
All 15 main squad players received ₹5 crore each, including those who did not play matches.
Head coach Rahul Dravid got ₹5 crore, while other support staff and selectors received ₹1–2 crore.
India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning team under MS Dhoni received just ₹12 crore in total.
Growth in IPL, sponsorships and TV rights has enabled the BCCI to offer record-breaking rewards.
