IPL 2026 Trade: Sanju Samson to be traded with this Delhi Capitals player

Rumors of Sanju Samson’s exit from Rajasthan Royals have been ongoing since the end of IPL 2025, and now reports suggest that a trade move is close to being finalized.

Samson is reportedly in advanced talks to rejoin Delhi Capitals, the team he represented in 2016 and 2017 when Rajasthan was banned from the IPL.

According to a Times of India report, discussions between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals have intensified, with both teams considering a player-swap deal.

As part of the proposed trade, South African batter Tristan Stubbs is expected to move to Rajasthan Royals.

Rajasthan reportedly wanted an additional uncapped player along with Stubbs, but Delhi declined.

Earlier, RR had also approached Chennai Super Kings, asking for Ravindra Jadeja in exchange for Samson - a request CSK rejected.

With IPL 2026 retentions set to be announced in November and the mini-auction in December, this trade could be one of the most talked-about pre-auction moves of the season.
