‘Steal ICC Trophy?’ Kamran Akmal mocks Pakistan after Bangladesh series loss

Pakistan national cricket team suffered a 2-1 ODI series defeat against Bangladesh national cricket team in Dhaka. The loss came soon after Pakistan’s disappointing campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup

Bangladesh posted 290/5 in 50 overs, with a brilliant century from Tanzid Hasan Tamim. Pakistan needed 291 to win the series-deciding match

Salman Ali Agha scored a brave 106, with support from Saad Masood (38) and captain Shaheen Afridi (37). Despite the effort, Pakistan failed to win the series decider

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal strongly criticised the team. He questioned their performances and asked how Pakistan could win big tournaments if they cannot beat teams in matches

Akmal’s remark also hinted at a past controversy involving Mohsin Naqvi. During the Asia Cup, Naqvi reportedly walked away with the trophy himself instead of letting it be presented to the winning team

Akmal went further and said fans should stop over-analyzing the team’s tactics. According to him, the way Pakistan are losing matches, their games now look more like a “comedy series” than serious cricket
