India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav shared his story of injury struggles, surgery, and rehabilitation as he gears up to lead India in Asia Cup 2025.
In a video, Suryakumar revealed how his sports hernia was diagnosed after IPL, leading to surgery and weeks of rehab that helped him regain full fitness.
“I’m feeling good right now. It’s been five to six weeks of good process, good routines, and I’m feeling really well,” said the Indian skipper.
The batter credited conditioning coaches and physios for planning his training step by step, ensuring a complete recovery at the Centre of Excellence.
The video showed Suryakumar sweating it out in the gym, exercising, and sharpening his batting skills ahead of the big tournament.
Now fully fit, Suryakumar is set to captain India in a major tournament for the first time, beginning their Asia Cup 2025 campaign on September 10 in the UAE.
