Sanju Samson’s absence from India’s T20I squad for the Zimbabwe series is once again a major topic among fans and experts.
Former opener Aakash Chopra questioned if dropping Samson was fair, given the chances he’s had recently.
Young Vaibhav Suryavanshi was picked instead, but Chopra questioned if he could deliver good performances every time.
He said Samson helped win the World Cup and isn’t a non-performer. Just three bad innings shouldn’t erase that, and there’s no guarantee Vaibhav Suryavanshi will always do well.
Chopra said it’s wrong to drop someone to give another player a chance. He believes there should be a rotation policy instead of making someone disappear from the team.
He said he was shocked by the decision to drop Sanju after just three games and felt that a rotation policy would have been better. He suggested resting Abhishek instead.
Will Sanju Samson get another chance, or is India already focusing on new players?
