Did Team India ignore its biggest young talent? Former coach reacts

A former India coach has questioned how Team India handled young star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the England T20I series.

Ravi Shastri didn't hold back

The former coach said he was frustrated that Vaibhav didn’t get a chance and had to sit on the bench for the whole series.

What did he mean?

“He should have played in Ireland, where the pitch would have suited him. I’m not sure if he’ll play in England, but he deserves a chance soon. He smashed every fast bowler in the IPL, yet he’s just sitting on the bench.”

He added

Shastri said, "At 15, he's an X-factor with no fear. Even if he bats just 2-3 overs at the top, he can give the team a great start. India should find a place for him in the XI as soon as possible."

Many fans hoped to see Vaibhav make his T20I debut, but he didn’t get the chance despite all the excitement.

The management chose experience over youth, sparking debate about giving youngsters early chances. With criticism rising, all eyes are now on the selectors’ next moves.

The big question is, will the talented youngster finally debut for India in the upcoming matches, or will the wait go on?
