King Kohli does it again, breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s biggest record

Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar’s world record by becoming the fastest batsman to score 16,000 runs in List A cricket.

Kohli reached the milestone in just 330 innings, shattering Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record of 391 innings.

He achieved the feat while playing for Delhi against Andhra Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26, returning to the tournament after 15 years.

Kohli scored a match-winning 131 runs off 101 balls (14 fours, 3 sixes) while chasing 299, leading Delhi to a 4-wicket victory.

With this milestone, Kohli became the first player in the world to score 16,000 runs in List A cricket, and only the ninth overall to cross the mark.

Kohli now holds the record for being the fastest to reach 10,000 to 16,000 runs in List A cricket, further cementing his status as the King of ODIs.
