Virat Kohli is set to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 for Delhi after a gap of nearly 15 years, following BCCI’s directive for contracted players to feature in domestic cricket.
Kohli last played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 18, 2010, when he captained Delhi against Services in Gurgaon.
Batting in the middle order, Kohli scored 16 runs off 8 balls, hitting three fours as Delhi posted a total of 311 runs.
Delhi went on to dominate the game, bowling out Services for 198 and securing a comfortable victory under Kohli’s leadership.
Kohli played alongside Shikhar Dhawan, who opened and scored 32 runs, and Rajat Bhatia, who chipped in with a solid half-century.
Former Delhi batter Mithun Manhas starred with a brilliant 148, powering Delhi to a big total and stealing the spotlight.
