Virat Kohli returned to domestic cricket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26, turning out for Delhi after a long break from the List A circuit.
In only two games, Kohli scored 208 runs at a brisk pace, helping Delhi register back-to-back wins and underlining his influence at the domestic level.
His comeback began with a stunning 131 off 101 balls against Andhra on December 24 in Bengaluru, making him the fastest player to reach 16,000 List A runs.
Two days later, Kohli followed it up with 77 off 61 balls against Gujarat, along with two sharp catches, as Delhi sealed a thrilling seven-run victory and Kohli earned Player of the Match.
Kohli could feature in one more Vijay Hazare Trophy match for Delhi, with the clash against Railways on January 6, 2026 likely to be his next appearance.
With India’s ODI series against New Zealand coming up, Kohli has temporarily left the Delhi camp but is expected to return for the Railways match before rejoining the national squad.
