3 Legends of the Indian cricket team, Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, were present on the night of the final, but another one was missing that day.
Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and even Kapil Dev were present at the big occasion, but Virat Kohli's absence got everyone talking.
Fans loved it when they saw three former captains watching from the stands as India lifted their third T20 WC title.
The main reason for Kohli's absence was that Rohit and Dhoni were invited as the T20WC-winning captains. Kohli never won a T20 WC as a captain, so he had no role.
Kohli had retired from the T20 format as soon as he won the T20 World Cup back in 2024. He prefers to spend more time with his family now and support India privately from his home.
Even though he didn't attend the final from the stadium like others, he still supports India's victories in his own way. The star batter continues to give his immense support to the team even though retiring from the T20 format.
