Heavy rain has delayed the toss at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai for the Women’s World Cup final.
The DY Patil ground staff are working tirelessly to protect the pitch and outfield, but the rain shows no signs of stopping yet in Navi Mumbai.
Although play was scheduled for 3 PM IST, the wet outfield and weather delay leave the start time up in the air.
In case Sunday’s rain stops play, the match will resume or start fresh on Monday, November 3, as per ICC rules.
If neither Sunday nor Monday produces a result, India and South Africa will share the trophy—first time in a Women’s World Cup.
Both teams aim to clinch their maiden title, but the weather could become the third key opponent in Navi Mumbai tonight.
