West Indies are all set to take on Pakistan for a three-match Test series which starts on Friday. The series would provide a perfect platform for West Indies to start a new journey in their quest for consistency. The young talented side of West Indies looks well balanced and will be looking to perform fearlessly.

The Caribbean had a horrendous T20 and ODI series against Pakistan where they had no answers against Pakistan’s bowling attack and a wobbling middle order adding to the cause. But in Test, West Indies have some really good names in their line-up and are hungry to express themselves.

Things have not fallen in right place for them in past and Test series would provide a perfect opportunity to prove their stature at International level. Also, the series gives them an opportunity to rectify the mistakes they made in the shorter formats and would be hoping to get better results.

These are the five players who can make a difference in West Indies fortune and get them better results:

Jason Holder:

The Right-arm medium-fast bowler uses his tall frame to extract extra bounce even on docile tracks. Line and Length being his forte, Holder will be looking to lead the bowling attack from the front. He has played 20 Test matches and taken 31 wickets at a strike rate of 92.65, something that he will have to improve on. On the other hand, with the willow, he has scored 801 runs in 34 innings with an average under 30. He would look to improve on his batting average as well.

Although Holder may not have a great record in past, his current form with bat and ball will definitely give the 26-year-old the confidence. As a leader, his hallmark has been his ability to stay calm and composed in extreme situations.
