Riyan Parag has been a subject of trolling in the just-concluded IPL 2022 where he was called out by the netizens for his on-field celebrations. While he did try to shut his critics saying that he does not care about their opinions, the fans have now come forward and made it clear that he needs to control his attitude after his unimpressive batting performance in the death overs against the Gujarat Titans in the summit clash.
Parag scored a run-a-ball 15 and was castled by senior pacer Mohammed Shami on the final delivery of the innings as the Rajasthan Royals were restricted to 130/9. However, the intent shown by the youngster in the death overs disappointed the cricket enthusiasts and they told him that he should have showcased an aggressive batting display in the final overs.
Fans criticize Riyan Parag for his attitude yet again
Hours before the final match between Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals, an excited Riyan took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Got like 4 hours of sleep last night xd how are you guys feeling??? ”

Here’s how Twitter reacted:
Riyan parag is the best finisher : he single handedly finished Rajasthan’s chances even competing for trophy in finals #riyanparag @TukTuk_Academy #IPLFinals #GTvRR

When R Ashwin came to play at number 5 it was proven that the team does not have a strong batting lineup. The overhyped player Riyan Parag did nothing, he didn't even try to hit big shots when only a few balls were left for the inning. #RRvGT #IPLFinals

Ravichandran Ashwin comes out to bat ahead of Riyan Parag.
Considering Ashwin's form it's good that he walks out but this just shows how much trust RR have in Parag.

Trent Boult + Obed McCoy – 19(12) with 2 sixes
Riyan Parag – 15(15) with one four
I still don't know his role in the team

Dhoni’s style & attitude suits only legendary players like Dhoni.
It doesn’t suit Riyan Parag kind of players. He has the ego of a king.
No wonder there are so many trolls on him! #riyanparag #RR

Of riyan prag
Neesham is far better player and he is a match winner but he didn't play most important games he is not in qualifier 1 and not in final today.— Anshul Kumar🇮🇳 (@AnshulK21732128) May 29, 2022
Parag was also trolled for dropping the catch of an in-form Rajat Patidar in Qualifier 2. The top-order batter made the most of his reprieve and went on to score a quickfire 58. Nonetheless, it did not cost RR in any manner as Jos Buttler‘s outstanding knock of an unbeaten 60-ball 106 powered them to an emphatic seven-wicket win.
The Assam cricketer had an underwhelming IPL 2022 where he finished with 183 runs from 17 matches at a strike rate of 138.63. Defending 130, the only way Rajasthan could have won their second title was by getting quick wickets upfront and they did get a chance in the very first over, but Yuzvendra Chahal dropped a sitter from Shubman Gill at forward square leg. It eventually proved to be a costly miss as Gill helped his team get past the finish line by scoring an unbeaten 45 runs.
