A confident England side will take on a dilapidated Sri Lankan outfit in a three-match ODI series, with the first ODI slated to take place at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on 29th June 2021. In the three-match T20I series that preceded the ODI series, Eoin Morgan and his men hammered the Sri Lankan side 3-0.

England has had a mixed bag in ODI cricket in the recent past. In their last 10 ODI matches, they have won 5 matches and lost 5 as well. On the other hand, Sri Lanka has lost 5 out of the 6 matches that they have played in 2021.

While England will be hoping that they can carry forward their form and momentum from the T20I series, the Sri Lankan side will desperately be hoping to post a win. Can Sri Lanka upset the 2019 World Cup winners?
