The world is yet to get a glimpse of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter, Vamika. Born earlier this year, her parents have decided not to expose her anywehre until she understands what social media is and chooses it for herself.

In a Question & Answer session on Instagram late last month, Virat Kohli revealed the same when asked by a fan “can we see a glimpse of her please”. In response, Kohli wrote, “No we have, as a couple, decided not to expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and make her own choice.”

While that means that those interested in seeing the little one will have to wait longer, they tried to quell their curiosity by asking Kohli’s sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, about who her niece resembles. A fan, on one of Dhingra’s Instagram Question & Answer session, asked, “Have you met Vamika, whom she looks like more Anushka or Virat,” to which she responded, “Yes we have and she’s an angel.”

Interestingly, she was also quizzed about who her favourite batsman is, Virat Kohli or any other. She revealed, “Of course Virat is but I was also a die-hard Rahul Dravid fan.” On being asked to share what kind of relationship she shares with sisters-in-law, Anushka Sharma and Chetna, she said, “They both are awesome, we love them.”

Virat Kohli and Co. gearing up for the World Test Championship final

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is currently in Southampton along with 19 other members of the team, all part of the World Test Championship final and the subsequent England series squad. India plays New Zealand from June 18-22 at the Ageas Bowl for the inaugural WTC final, followed by five Tests against England in a series that gets underway from August 4 at Trent Bridge.

Unlike their WTC rivals New Zealand, who are currently facing England in a two-Test series, India has not had the luxury of getting true game time and will take on the Blackcaps straightaway. Post the conclusion of the team’s UK assignments, the members will travel to the UAE for the remainder of the IPL 2021, which is set to resume on September 19 after being postponed earlier this year due to the Covid-19 crisis.
