After 70 games of intense action, the league stages of IPL 2022 came to an end and the top four teams have also been confirmed for the playoffs. The tournament took place in the country after more than two years and the fans were quite excited as well for the last two months with a massive response in the stadium. The two new teams, in particular, were quite impressive as well while the most successful franchises like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders struggled.

The Maharashtra pitches seemed to quicken up once the tournament progressed and there was much more for the batters to take advantage of. Jos Buttler without a doubt had some terrific outings with the bat for the Rajasthan Royals in the first half of the season and there was a case for him breaking the 973 run tally of Virat Kohli in a single season.
