The fourth T20I of the ongoing five-match series between West Indies and India is underway in Lauderhill, Florida, on August 6, Saturday. West Indies won the toss and put India to bat first. The Men in Blue put up a strong batting display, scoring 191 runs in 20 overs on a good batting surface. In the first innings, off the third ball of the third over, Windies left-arm fast bowler Obed McCoy bowled a full delivery on the fourth stump line on the off side. Suryakumar Yadav, who was on strike, pounced on the ball that was pitched up and dispatched it over the fence with a helicopter shot. India reached the 50-run mark in only 4.3 overs but Rohit got out the very next ball after scoring 33 runs off 16 balls. Suryakumar, on the other end, scored 24 runs off 14 balls, and the openers were back to the pavilion within the six-over powerplay. The third-wicket partnership between Deepak Hooda and Rishabh Pant added 47 runs, and Hooda departed for 21 runs off 19 balls. And then came the all-important contributions from Pant and Sanju Samson who scored 44 off 31 balls and 30* off 23 balls respectively. Dinesh Karthik, one of India’s in-form batters, departed for only six off nine balls. The finishing touch was given by Samson and Axar Patel, who scored an unbeaten 20 off eight balls. For the hosts, the star of the second T20I, McCoy had a forgettable game, conceding a whopping 66 runs in his four overs. Nevertheless, he also picked up the wickets of Pant and Karthik. The pick of the West Indies bowlers was pacer Alzarri Joseph, who finished with two wickets for 29 runs in four overs.
