New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham always comes up with some hilarious social media posts. However, in a recent occasion, the Kiwi cricketer made a painful scenario look hilarious as he came up with a humble request for the Australian yorker specialist Andrew Tye.

Tye, who is known for his toe-crushing yorkers, sent a thunderous one to Neesham stumps during the T20 Blast 2022 encounter between between Northamptonshire and Durham. Even though the lightning-fast delivery failed to make contact with the stumps, it struck the Black Caps batter on his toes and it got bruised.

Neesham on his Instagram story posted an image of his toe bleeding profusely and tissue was wrapped below it in order to stop the blood from oozing. He went on to caption the image as “Wide Yorkers next game please @andrewtye68 Sliding down leg I think”.

Even though the New Zealander received a blow, it did not affect him from taking his side over the line as he remained unbeaten on 15. It might not have been a big knock, but the Kiwi all-rounder added finishing touches with his bat and took Northamptonshire to their third win of the competition.

Coming back to the contest, Durham batted first and scored 154/8 from their 20 overs, riding on a brilliant 34-ball 44 from opener Graham Clark. While the other batters in the middle-order did get starts, they failed to convert them into bigger scores, which in the end deprived Durham of going on to post a winning total.

In reply, Australian power-hitter Chris Lynn single-handedly took up the responsibility of the run chase as Northamptonshire kept losing wickets regularly. The Aussie batter scored a blistering 61 runs from 47 deliveries as his side got home by four wickets in the final over.
